**Geotechnical Engineer (New York, NY)**

+ Use and manage subsurface information database systems.
+ Observe construction works and geotechnical investigations.
+ Log and describe properties of geological (soil and rock) materials to aid design and construction works.
+ Prepare laboratory test schedules.
+ Interpret subsurface conditions and understand their impact on design and construction.
+ Manage drilling geotechnical subcontractors and their contracts.
+ Perform calculations for shallow and deep foundation design, slope stability, retaining wall design, and seismic assessments.
+ Support the completion of temporary support-of-excavation designs, including for basements, shafts, and cut-and-cover tunnels, and subway stations.
+ Conduct preliminary ground movement predictions, hydrogeological impact, and building damage assessments.
