Geotechnical Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT)
Role Overview
As a Geotechnical Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT), you will support ground stability and safe mining operations. Reporting to the Senior Geotechnical Engineer, you will implement and manage key aspects of the Ground Control Management Plan and work closely with geotechnical and operations teams to improve underground safety and ground support practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct underground mine inspections to assess ground conditions and identify potential risks.
- Assist in the design and implementation of secondary ground support systems, including cable bolting.
- Support the installation, monitoring, and maintenance of geotechnical instrumentation.
- Analyze geotechnical data and provide recommendations to improve ground control performance.
- Ensure adherence to the Ground Control Management Plan and applicable safety standards.
