Job summary
Are you a general practitioner looking to provide primary care services within our community hospitals? We are looking for a part time general practitioner to provide medical support across our community hospital sites within Dorset Healthcare. The principal base for the role is Yeatman Hospital, Sherborne.
Community hospitals provide rehabilitation, step-down, intermediate care, palliative and end of life care services for patients who have typically transferred from acute hospitals following illness, injury, surgery or deconditioning. Patients are supported to maximise their independence and return home wherever possible.
A significant proportion of the work involves the management of frailty, multimorbidity, rehabilitation medicine, symptom control, advance care planning and end of life care.
