General Maintenance Supervisor - chilliwack

Purpose of Position

The Maintenance Supervisor monitors all maintenance‑related activities, investigates unusual problems affecting production, and determines solutions. The role repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment following established safety procedures while supporting the Maintenance Manager.

Nature and Scope of Position

All hourly maintenance department staff report to the Supervisor. The Supervisor provides daily work orders, responds to employee inquiries, follows up on all problems, ensures work is performed safely, offers technical support, and manages inventory. The Supervisor maintains and improves the PM plan for production and facility equipment. Problems beyond the scope are referred to the Maintenance Manager, including capital equipment purchases and hiring decisions. The Supervisor also coordinates staff, makes recommendations for hiring and discipline, and participates in the Joint Health and Safety Committee.
