Role Overview
General Claims Adjuster for the Technical Services Team – responsible for evaluating multi-line claims, focusing on property (commercial and personal lines), and negotiating settlements in accordance with provincial licensing requirements. The role is located in Calgary, Alberta, Canada and operates in a hybrid set‑up.
Responsibilities
- Reviews and analyzes experts’ reports
- Selects and directs independent experts
- Identifies and pursues subrogation opportunities
- Secures and manages litigation disposition plans and budgets
- Records file activities and transactions in Crawford & Company and client‑based systems
- Maintains accurate expense accounts
- Works with the manager to maintain client relations
- Liaises with all facets of the insurance community including brokers, risk managers, legal counsel and regulators
