General Catering Assistant

Job Description

We are looking for a General Assistant to support the Catering Supervisors and Chef Managers in all aspects of food service, including taking payment for food and drinks, cleaning equipment, and upholding high health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist chefs and front‑of‑house managers with food preparation and cooking.
• Serve meals, snacks and drinks, handling payments.
• Clean all equipment, crockery and cutlery as required.
• Support and operate services in areas such as Serveries, Retail, Hospitality, Functions, and Coffee Shops.
• Ensure all food is handled in accordance with the Food Safety & Quality Management System.
• Carry out work in accordance with relevant H&S legislation and Codes of Practice.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and training, including occasional off‑site and overnight travel.
