Job Description
We are working with a client outside of Chicago looking for two Gearbox Technicians to join their team! Prior experience working with gearboxes at least 5 feet in size is required. Ability to assemble, disassemble, troubleshoot and read blueprints is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Assembly & Testing: Build up and test gearboxes and sub-assemblies (clutches, housings) according to blueprints, technical diagrams, and engineering specifications.
- Precision Fitting: Assemble, position, and align component parts such as bearings, shafts, gears, and bushings.
- Repair: Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair as needed.
- Tool Operation: Utilize pneumatic tools, hand tools, torque wrenches, and hydraulic presses to securely fasten components.
