Job Description
Coast Mountain College is seeking a full-time YETS & Automotive Trades Instructor in Terrace, beginning October 12, 2026. This role emphasizes student success and hands-on teaching in foundational trades.
As an Instructor, you will lead the Youth Exploratory Trades Sampler and Automotive Trades programs. Your responsibilities include preparing lessons, conducting courses, and mentoring students, ensuring their engagement and learning. You will also enforce shop safety protocols and perform necessary administrative duties related to course management.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver YETS instruction covering multiple foundational trades
• Mentor youth, enhancing their confidence and engagement
• Oversee and enforce safety protocols in the shop
• Prepare effective lesson plans and assessments
• Evaluate student progress and maintain accurate records
