Become a vital part of METROLINX as a full-time Track Maintainer serving the Oakville to Toronto route. Engage in essential railway maintenance tasks focused on ensuring operational safety and efficiency.
As a Track Maintainer, you will be responsible for a variety of track rehabilitation activities. Reporting to a Track Supervisor, you'll work alongside a small team, performing repairs and improvements throughout the rail network. Your contributions will make a significant impact in maintaining vital transport links.
Key Responsibilities:
• Control vegetation using gas-powered tools
• Execute repairs to track structures and crossings
• Replace damaged rails and components
• Facilitate unloading and distribution of materials
• Ensure safety through snow removal in winter
Requirements:
• At least 3 years of railway maintenance experience
• Valid driver’s license (G classification or higher)
• Physical capability to lift 60 lbs
