Full-time Lather (ISM) Instructor/Coordinator

The Finishing Trades Institute of BC is looking for a motivated and experienced Wall and Ceiling installer to take on a full-time role as an instructor/Coordinator. The focus will be the delivery of the Lather apprenticeship classes.

Responsibilities

• Instructing all 3 levels of the Lather ISM) apprenticeship Program.
• Instructing Introduction to Trades training recruitment classes at the FTI and throughout BC.
• Instructing safety training classes such as WHMIS 2015, Respiratory Protection, Fall Protection, Aerial Lift and counter balanced forklift, and ladder and scaffold.
• Developing daily lesson plans, and curriculum for apprenticeship classes, skills-based trades training and recruitment programs.
• Maintaining shop and safety equipment Mentoring apprentices and Journeypersons in developing and accelerating their skills in all aspects of the Lather trade
