Job Description
Join the North Island Hospital's Comox Valley Campus as a full-time General Internist. This role includes inpatient coverage, outpatient practice, and teaching responsibilities in a supportive environment.
This full-time position seeks a qualified General Internal Medicine specialist, ideally a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada with eligibility for licensure in British Columbia. You'll work alongside a collegial team of nine general internists and other specialists, contributing to a community-focused medical practice while enjoying the benefits of the beautiful Comox Valley.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide inpatient GIM coverage, including ICU support
• Participate in the mandatory medicine call schedule
• Conduct outpatient internal medicine consultations
• Interpret hospital ECGs, Holter monitors, and stress tests
• Teach medical students and residents from UBC
