Job Description
Covenant House Toronto is seeking a dedicated Full-Time Contract Cook to join our team on-site. Prepare nutritious meals for our youth while maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
This is a replacement role for a Contract Cook, offering a rotating schedule from Wednesday to Monday, 7:00am - 3:00pm. You will be responsible for preparing and serving over 250 meals daily, ensuring quality and attention to dietary needs. Supervision and training of kitchen staff and youth trainees is also essential for maintaining high standards in food production.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare, season, and cook menu items including dietary options
• Produce over 250 meals daily for service
• Supervise and train kitchen personnel and youth
• Operate kitchen equipment and maintain cleanliness
• Manage inventory and ordering of supplies
