Meet Team
As a Frontend Engineer in the Meet team, you will play a key role in building intuitive, performant, and secure user experiences for our communication platform.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain user‑facing features, ensuring seamless interactions, responsiveness, and high‑quality UI across devices.
- Collaborate closely with backend, design, and other teams to deliver reliable and user‑centric features.
- Advocate for clean, maintainable code and strong frontend architecture, balancing performance, accessibility, and rapid feature delivery.
Tech Stack and Tools
- Frontend built with React and Rust.
- Backend API based on PHP/Symfony.
- All client code is open‑source and GPL 3.
- Infrastructure migrating to Kubernetes; runs on premise in Proton's data‑centers.
- Project management uses Jira and Confluence.
