Technical Translator (French to German, German to French) – Madrid
Freelance or Staff employee positions available within ORTEC Engineering’s Linguistics Department. This role is based in Madrid and focuses on technical translation of aircraft maintenance and related documents.
Responsibilities
- Analyze source documentation authored in French or German in collaboration with technical authors.
- Translate documents from French to German and from German to French.
- Manage translation memories using TRADOS software.
- Perform cross‑check processes in accordance with Quality Assurance procedures.
Qualifications
- Translation or Interpretation studies, or equivalent experience.
- Experience translating technical texts from French to German or vice versa, including aircraft maintenance manuals, industrial installation instructions, and ground vehicle maintenance.
