JOB SUMMARY
The Foundry Technician is responsible for executing a range of tasks involved in the metal casting process, including core making, mold preparation, melting, pouring, shakeout, and surface finishing. This role is essential to ensuring high-quality castings through precision, safety, and collaboration in a manufacturing environment.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform daily operations in one or more of the following casting functions: Core making - form the internal surfaces of castings. Mold making - form the external surfaces of castings. Mold closing - assemble cores and molds into complete mold assemblies. Melting - prepare molten metal from scrap steel/raw materials, adjust chemistry and temperature.
