JOB SUMMARY
The Foundry Grinding Technician is responsible for cleaning, grinding, and finishing metal castings to meet quality standards and customer specifications. This role supports production by ensuring castings are properly prepared for shipment and may assist in other foundry operations as needed.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Operate hand-held and stationary tools including grinders, chippers, saws, and blasting equipment to remove excess material from castings Grind, smooth, and finish castings to meet quality and dimensional standards Inspect castings for defects and report issues to supervisors or leads Perform routine maintenance and daily safety checks on tools and equipment Safely move materials using hoists, cranes, forklifts, or other equipment Support additional foundry operations as needed, including: Core making (forming internal casting structures) Mold making and closing (formi...
