Job Description
REPORTS TO: Department Supervisor SUPERVISES: N/A CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt POSITION SUMMARY: The forklift operator is responsible for handling green, dried, and finished lumber by servicing the Planer Mill and Moulder to best support Eastern White Pine Manufacturing.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: SAFETY: OUR TOP PRIORITY Understand and follow all safety policies and procedures.
Take personal responsibility for their own safety and those working around them.
Participate in safety huddles, stretch huddles, and near miss program.
Report unsafe conditions and behaviors when recognized.
Wear required PPE.
No cell phone use while operating forklift.
ENGAGEMENT Collaborate effectively with team members and contribute ideas for process improvement.
Be a reliable team member with good attendance.
Other duties may be assigned.
RESPONSIBLITIES Load and unload dry kilns according to the kiln schedule.
Store dry lumber in designated storage buildings.<...
