**Job Description**
The Forge Operator sets up and operates forge and trim presses, furnaces, and related equipment to produce high-quality forged parts in a clean, temperature-controlled environment. This role requires hands-on mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety and continuous improvement while working on a first-shift schedule.
**Responsibilities**
+ Set up and operate forge presses according to setup sheets, including changing back plates and shims.
+ Adjust the press ram as needed to maintain proper forging dimensions and quality.
+ Retrieve and handle dies from the pre-heat bench and ensure they are properly prepared for production.
+ Operate a forklift safely to move materials, dies, and forged parts within the facility.
+ Use tongs to pick up and place hot billets into dies while maintaining safe and efficient handling practices.
