Requirements Minimum qualification: Grade 10/AET level 5 to Grade 12 (school report with stamp & log) At least 1‑year experience in a food service environment; experience in a hospital food service is an added advantage Basic knowledge and understanding of food safety and hygiene practices required in the Food Service Unit Understanding of Batho Pele Principles as they relate to Food Services Numeracy & literacy skills and good verbal and written communication skills Willingness to work early and late shifts, public holidays and weekends Ability to perform work of a physical nature Reliable and trustworthy conduct Duties Perform routine tasks in the Food Service Unit, including pre‑preparation for normal and therapeutic diets Cook meals for normal and special diets in accordance with patients’ dietary requirements Carry out tasks ensuring hygiene and safety standards, such as washing pots, plates, utensils, equipment, drains, grids, fridges ...
