Job Description
A Food Service Worker is responsible for preparing, serving, and handling food in restaurants, cafeterias, hotels, catering companies, hospitals, and other dining establishments. This role focuses on customer satisfaction, food safety, and maintaining a clean dining environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and portion food according to recipes and standards
- Serve food and beverages to customers
- Operate kitchen equipment (ovens, fryers, grills, coffee machines, etc.)
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, counters, and dining areas
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Handle cash or operate POS systems (in some roles)
