Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble patient meal trays according to prescribed diets and portion standards
- Deliver meals to patient rooms accurately and on schedule
- Push and transport food carts between kitchen and nursing units
- Assist patients courteously during meal service when needed
- Collect used trays, utensils, and carts after meal times
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, carts, and equipment
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and infection control procedures at all times
- Check meal tickets to ensure correct patient and diet compliance
- Report patient concerns or dietary issues to the Dietitian or Supervisor
- Support kitchen and dietary team with basic food preparation when required
Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- With experience in food service, hospital, or cafeteria setting is an advantage
