**Job Description**
The Fleet Diesel Mechanic performs mechanical repairs and preventative maintenance on company fleet vehicles in compliance with DOT and OSHA regulations, with a primary focus on medium- and heavy-duty diesel tractors and trailers. This role ensures that all vehicles are safe, reliable, and ready to support daily operations.
**Responsibilities**
+ Troubleshoot, diagnose, and complete repairs on all types of fleet vehicles, with emphasis on medium- and heavy-duty diesel tractors and trailers.
+ Perform scheduled and unscheduled preventative maintenance within the fleet department to minimize downtime and extend vehicle life.
+ Respond to service calls as required, providing timely support for vehicles that are disabled or require on-site attention.
+ Create accurate work orders in SAP and ensure all working times, tasks, and parts used are properly logged in the system.
