Job Description
The Fire Alarm Tech installs, programs, inspects, and repairs commercial and residential fire detection systems at the CMI customer site in Beltsville, MD.
Key Job Functions
Set up panels, sensors, and wiring per electrical layout blueprints and building plansConduct routine tests (e.g., NFPA 72 checks) and provide detailed documentation of system deficienciesDiagnose system faults, replace faulty components, and restore alarms to optimal functionalityProgram electronic components and control panels from major manufacturers (e.g., Notifier, Honeywell, Simplex)Explain system operations to clients and manage emergency service callsPerforms other related duties as requiredQualifications
