Field Service Technician Level 1 – Overview

Field Service Technician Level 1 is responsible for start‑up and commissioning of projects, preventative maintenance, and basic submersible wastewater pump (Flygt) and control panel troubleshooting at customer sites. Product‑specific training will be provided.

Core Responsibilities

• Evaluate, repair, and conduct hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical testing of submersible wastewater pumps
• Basic troubleshooting of electrical control panels
• Understand schematics and wiring diagrams
• Assist with start‑ups and emergency callouts
• Operate and maintain a service truck with crane and outriggers
• Operate industrial equipment in a shop environment such as forklift, overhead cranes, etc.
• Use hand and power tools
• Accurate record keeping in Xylem’s work order management system
