Introduction to the role
We are seeking a Field Service Technician to join our Service Operations Support team. This role combines hands-on mechanical work with technical problem-solving and customer support between the client, product division and our sales team. Your role plays a crucial part in performing and coordinating service activities relating to our machines, spares and wears - keeping our clientsoperating at full capacity.
This position is located in Mackay, and you will report to the Field Service Manager - East.
Main responsibilities
- Complete field machine inspections
- Provide hands-on mechanical service work in the field to Metso customers
- Provide technical liaison services between customers, product divisions and sales personnel
- Perform technical evaluations and analyse equipment and machine component failures
