Field office supervisor - forestry

Shift Availability

Early morning, evening, morning, day shifts with overtime available. Starts as soon as possible.

Qualifications

Education: Secondary (high school) graduation certificate.

Experience: 2 to 3 years in forest management or related field.

Language: English speaking.

Work location: On-site; no remote work possible.

Responsibilities

1. Assess the current status of a given area for sustainable forest management.
2. Conduct forest inventory cruises, surveys and field measurement.
3. Conduct ongoing inspections to ensure the development of good quality forest crops.
4. Supervise technical functions in silvicultural operation.
5. Supervise the construction of access routes and forest roads.
6. Use photogrammetric and mapping techniques.
7. Monitor activities of logging companies and contractors.
8. Develop and maintain computer databases.
