Field Claims Specialist, Property – Mississauga & Ajax offices
Responsibilities
- Conduct on‑site inspections and investigate large and complex commercial lines and personal lines claims in a timely and respectful manner through communication with customers, contractors, consultants and related parties.
- Handle field tasks on behalf of telephone adjusters.
- Provide superior customer service to external and internal customers.
- Analyze information, interpret insurance policy wording, determine coverage and assess damage.
- Negotiate with customers, claimants, lawyers and insurers to settle claims within established authority limits, managing costs efficiently and effectively.
- Gather factual versions of the circumstances of the claim from insureds, third parties and other stakeholders to determine causes and eligibility.
- Assist in evaluation and negotiation of large losses. <...
