Field Application Specialist - Analytical

A company distributing analytical instruments and reagents is looking for a Field Applications Specialist (FAS) to join their Elemental Analysis (EA) & Isotope-ratio Mass Spectrometry (IRMS) team in Cape Town. The successful candidates key responsibilities will include but are not limited to: The specialist will assist customers within the analytical disciplines of Elemental Analysis and Isotope-Ratio Mass Spectrometry (IRMS) through efficient installation, commissioning, training, demonstration, exhibition, problem-solving, optimization, development and advanced troubleshooting (on- or off-site) of hardware- and software-related platforms and analytical methods. While existing knowledge and experience in Liquid Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS) and Inductively coupled Plasma Optical Emission Spectroscopy (ICP-OES) are highly advantageous, the scope of this role may be expanded to include these and other related analytical techniques (Protein Chromatography, Nutrient- and Water ...
