A client of Insight Global is looking for 2 Fiber Splicing Technicians to join their team based out of Abilene, TX. The Fiber Optic Splicing Technician is responsible for performing mid- to advanced-level fiber optic splicing and testing activities, including single-fiber and basic ribbon splicing. This role supports the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of fiber optic networks by utilizing Visual Fault Locators (VFLs), power meters, and other specialized testing equipment. The technician assists with troubleshooting efforts, equipment setup, and project execution while maintaining accurate documentation of splice records, test results, and project activities. Responsibilities also include the proper handling, cleaning, and maintenance of Fujikura 90R fusion splicers and related tools and equipment.
