Factory Manager / Works Manager - Sugar

Overview

My Client an international industrial house, with substantial annual turnover engaged in diverse operations in Uganda and East Africa, is looking for a Factory / Works Manager to oversee its very large sugar complex on one of the Largest Sugar Estates / Factory Plants in Africa. The sugar factory has been expanded steadily and is currently operating at a crushing capacity of 7,500 Tons Cane per Day [TCD] during a 10.5 month crushing season. It generates 50MW and 30MW of this is exported to the national grid. In addition to sugar and power produced, the group has a distillery which produces 65 000 litres rectified spirits a day. A small confectionery factory within the complex also produces a variety of sweets and toffees and other confectionery items
