Job Description
Become a Face Shovel Operator at Argonaut Gold's Magino Mine, located in Ontario. Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently while ensuring optimal performance in a demanding mining environment.
Reporting to the Supervisor, Mine Operations, this role requires three to five years of experience in operating face shovels, ideally in an open pit mining setting. Your responsibilities will include maintaining mining faces and safely executing operations while supporting a strong safety culture. Also, you will perform essential tasks such as pre- and post-operation checks and risk assessments.
Key Responsibilities:
• Safely operate face shovels and other equipment daily
• Conduct risk assessments before each task
• Execute pre-operations and post-operations checks
• Meet performance targets for each shift
• Participate in safety meetings and support protocols
Requirements:
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
