FABRICATION SUPERVISOR

Duties/Responsibilities. Review blueprints for completeness, accuracy and conformance to standards before distributing to shop for production. Assign work orders to welders/fabricators; manage and track so projects are completed on time. Monitor and manage steel and parts inventory. Coordinate in-house fabrication, maintenance or repair projects or tasks within or between departments. Participate in interviewing, hiring and training new employees. Assign new employees to experienced workers for mentoring/training. Review employee performance and make compensation recommendations. Make other employment recommendations as needed. Ensure safety procedures are adhered Ensure employees are properly trained to operate equipment Manage preventative maintenance for equipment Repair equipment as necessary.
