Summary The Smithsonian Institution is the world's largest museum, education, and research complex, with 21 museums and the National Zoo. This position is located in the Office of Exhibits, National Zoo and Conservation Biology Institute at the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, DC. Responsibilities The Exhibits Specialist is responsible for coordinating permanent and temporary exhibit projects at the National Zoo, gathering information and serving as a liaison among content experts, curators, and key offices In this position, you will: Manage exhibit information gathering and maintenance, and serves as a liaison with content experts across departments Research exhibit content and collaborates with animal staff to determine species requirements for exhibits Manage information and supporting materials for content development, including audiovisuals, interactive elements, models, murals, and illustrations.
