Job Description
MOTAT is seeking a versatile technician to help build, install, and maintain our visitor‑facing exhibitions.
No two days are the same as an Exhibition Technician. You’ll use a wide range of hands‑on skills to fabricate, prototype, install, deinstall, and care for temporary and long‑term exhibitions across our sites. From building display furniture and mounts to troubleshooting interactives and AV elements, you’ll help keep our galleries looking their best and operating smoothly. You’ll work closely with a dedicated team, collaborating with designers, contractors, and volunteers, while managing your time well and pitching in when the work is hands‑on and physical.
Qualifications
- Experience with a range of building/fabrication materials, tools, and techniques.
- As we currently have a gap in our metal work and mount making capability, skills in this area would be favourable, but not essential.
