Job Description
Nicol of Skene, a well-established civil engineering, multi-utility and directional drilling construction company, is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Estimator to join our team based in our Inverness office.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for civil engineering projects including labour, materials, plant, and subcontract works.
- Review tender drawings, specifications, and other contract documents.
- Carry out quantity take-offs and measurements.
- Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Prepare tender enquiries and analyse returned prices.
- Assess project risks and opportunities during the tender stage.
- Assist in preparing programmes, methodologies, and preliminaries for submissions.
- Liaise with Contracts Managers, Engineers, Quantity Surveyors, and operational staff during the tender process.
