EQUIPMENT SPECIALIST

Summary You will serve as a EQUIPMENT SPECIALIST in the PUBLIC WORKS DIVISION ofNAVAL FAC ENGINEERING CMD FAR EAST . ***ACCESS TO MEDICAL AND DENTAL CARE IN JAPAN IS EXTREMELY LIMITED. Please see Additional Information section below.*** Responsibilities You will support the NAVFAC mission, for facilities maintenance and sustainment by planning for and ensuring code compliance in the inspection, operation, maintenance, repair and/or replacement of VTE. You will serve as the Vertical Transportation Equipment (VTE) Lead Certifying Official (LCO). You will perform certifications in accordance with Unified Facility Criteria (UFC) 3-490-06, Unified Facility Guide Specification’s (UFGS’s) and BPMS B-15.12. You will provide consulting for NAVFAC designers, engineers, architects and technicians in design development of VTE systems to ensure proper design consideration.
