The Equipment Support Group (ESG) is responsible for the installation, uptime reliability and yield performance of high‑tech state‑of‑the‑art manufacturing equipment used in the cleanroom production of magnetic thin film heads; with Photolithography, Vacuum Deposition/Etch, Electroplating and Metrology being the core principals used in the manufacturing of the nanoscale engineered devices; the process steps and equipment used are similar with those of semiconductor wafer fabs.
