Our client is looking for a proactive and solutions focused Environmental Officer to oversee compliance, monitoring and sustainability across their meat processing plant. You’ll ensure operations meet all environmental regulations while driving initiatives in waste, water and energy management.
Responsibilities
- Monitor water, air, waste and effluent systems and maintain accurate environmental records.
- Manage compliance with permits, licenses, legislation, support audits and corrective actions.
- Develop and implement waste reduction and sustainability programs.
- Identify environmental risks, investigate incidents and implement solutions.
- Ensure full compliance with local, regional, and national environmental regulations.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies, inspectors, and certification auditors.
- Train and engage staff to promote a strong environmental culture.
