Engineering Technician

Summary The Engineering Technician serves as a team member in the Projects Section responsible for the VA Southern Nevada Healthcare System (VASNHS) Construction Program consisting of Major, Minor, Clinical Specific Initiative, and Non-Recurring Maintenance projects. The projects require development, design, coordination and management from the original concept to completion. Responsibilities The Engineering Technician develops programmatic review standards and project related policies and procedures to establish and maintain a system to insure adequate controls are in place on project designs and construction contracts to ensure compliance with accepted standards and codes, and that costs are contained. Coordinate, prepare, and transmit all general or summary project reports such as the weekly status report and progress reports. Schedules and hold weekly project meeting with the Contracting staff.
