Engineering Technician

Summary This position is located at Birmingham VA Medical Center. The incumbent will works in the Projects Section of the Engineering Service, under direct supervision of the Supervisory Project Engineer. Performs field investigations and gathers engineering data necessary for preparing construction drawings and specifications. Field investigations will be conducted on campus and off site. Performs QNQC for projects in construction on campus and offsite. Construction Safety Inspection and documentation for construction on campus and offsite Work Order request. Makes copies of construction documents and drawings Escorts A/E's and contractors.
