Job Description

Process Technology Development (PTD) is developing HAMR (Heat-Assisted Magnetic Recording) and at the same time, extending the current HDD technology, perpendicular magnetic recording (PMR). Our group mainly focus on developing thin film cleanroom processes, e.g., high vacuum sputtering deposition, Filtered Cathodic Arc and etching processes. Our team is developing new slider processes or technology to meet future product roadmap requirements.

About the role - you will:

  • Be responsible for supporting Atomic Force Microscope (AFM) metrology development to meet new product roadmap requirements.

  • Learning basic knowledge of Slider TE Topography characterization

  • Support analysis the Slider TE topography characterization

  • Opportunity to use MATLAB software for topography analysis

  • Exploration of any initiative development idea
