Job Description
Responsibilities
- Perform CAE and simulation activities for product/system creation, and/or verification for all innovation and development projects, utilizing internal and with external resources. Responsible to ensure product meets performance specifications prior to creation of physical prototypes.
- Systematic use of simulation early in the design process to prevent failure modes in products and assist in problem resolution.
- Create component/system level FEA models for powertrain systems for strength, durability, NVH and thermo‑structural analysis.
- Collaborate with component/system engineers to recommend and implement design changes required to achieve defined performance targets.
- Perform optimization studies using CAE tools & techniques like topology optimization, robust design optimization, probabilistic design methods, design of experiments, etc.
