Position Overview

Reporting to the Lead - Physical Plant Services, the Engineer 5th Class is responsible for monitoring and maintaining building and medical related systems and associated equipment in a 5th class plant. The incumbent exercises the appropriate level of initiative and independent judgment in determining work priorities and methods, and in taking action on unusual matters, functioning in a manner consistent with the mission, vision, values, and policies of Southern Health‑Santé Sud.

Experience

• Minimum two (2) years' experience working in a maintenance position.
• Previous experience working with electrical, carpentry, plumbing, heating, or air‑conditioning.

Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)

• Power Engineering – 5th Class Certificate as recognized by the Province of Manitoba.
• Other suitable combinations of education and experience may be considered.
