Position Overview
Reporting to the Lead – Physical Plant Services, the Engineer 5th Class is responsible for monitoring and maintaining building and medical‑related systems and associated equipment in a 5th class plant. The incumbent exercises appropriate initiative and independent judgment in determining work priorities, work methods, and action to be taken on unusual matters. The position functions in a manner that is consistent with the mission, vision and values of Southern Health‑Santé Sud and the policies of the organization.
Experience
- Minimum two (2) years’ experience working in a maintenance position.
- Previous experience working with electrical, carpentry, plumbing, heating, or air‑conditioning.
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)
- Power Engineering – 5th Class Certificate as recognized by the Province of Manitoba.
