Emergency Preparedness Associate

This position provides support to the emergency preparedness staff to ensure JEA is ready to respond effectively to emergencies and disasters, while also playing a role in community outreach and compliance efforts. Assists in researching, compiling, organizing, developing, and maintaining Emergency Preparedness plans and procedures to safeguard the organization's assets, employees, and operations. Guidelines are available but are not completely applicable to the work or have gaps in specificity requiring judgment in interpreting, analyzing, and adapting methods, techniques and procedures to specific cases or problems. Solves problems within established parameters and identifies and recommends responses to new and unusual circumstances. Completed work is evaluated for effectiveness in meeting policies and established guidelines. Regular contact with other work groups and internal leadership is required for work efforts or problem resolution.
