Emergency Department Technician

The Emergency Department Technician assists medical and nursing staff in delivering patient care in a fast-paced emergency department environment. This role involves performing clinical tasks patient monitoring and administrative duties to support efficient patient flow and high-quality emergency care.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the admission transfer and discharge of patients.
• Monitor and record vital signs and report significant changes to RN or physician.
• Perform EKGs phlebotomy specimen collection and point-of-care testing.
• Assist with wound care splinting and orthopedic procedures.
• Provide CPR and assist during codes or emergency interventions.
• Transport patients equipment and specimens within the hospital.
• Maintain cleanliness and stock supplies in patient care areas.
