Position Responsibilities

Permanent Substitute Teacher Responsibilities

• The permanent substitute teacher shall provide support for teachers who are released for professional development or other projects, and to cover faculty absences. Selected candidates will be assigned to work in preschool to Grade 5 classrooms.

• This is a full-time substitute teaching role that will be on campus during all school workdays and shall be willing to commit to a one-year contract. Permanent substitutes are expected to be on campus on non-student contact school workdays and will participate in relevant professional development or work on projects as needed on these days.

• While most time will be spent substitute teaching in Chinese in World Language or Chinese Immersion classrooms, permanent substitutes are expected to be adaptable and willing to assist with other assignments or responsibilities, as needed.
