Summary This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Domestic Defense Industrial Base (DIB) & MRTFB in DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: The Watervliet Arsenal is an Army-owned and -operated manufacturing center located in New York. It is the oldest, continuously active arsenal in the United States having begun operations in 1813. Responsibilities Works on highly complex systems of electronic sensing, control located in the chrome plating and metalizing machining center. Assist a journeyman Electroplater in preparing to plate, coat, and treat cannon tubes and components, tools, and fixtures by immersion in a series of chemical or electrolytic solutions. Monitor the settings on the control generator for proper voltage and time cycle per instructions. Monitor density settings and controls and the rectifier with a higher graded Electroplater, leader or supervisor. Requirements Conditions...
