Electrophysiology Fellow – Cardiology

Applications are invited for the post of Electrophysiology Fellow to work at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham. University Hospital Birmingham is a leading centre for cardiac electrophysiology, performing approximately 800 ablations a year, over half of which are complex. The fellow will work within a team of 4 dedicated electrophysiology consultants and 3 EP laboratories.

Main duties of the job

The appointee is expected to take responsibility for all patients undergoing electrophysiology procedures in the labs and to work with EP registrars to ensure that all patients are seen daily. The fellow will be trained in all aspects of cardiac electrophysiology and, once appropriately trained, will implant single‑ and dual‑chamber pacemakers and defibrillators.
