ELECTRONIC INDUSTRIAL CONTROLS MECHANIC

Summary You will serve as an ELECTRONIC INDUSTRIAL CONTROLS MECHANIC in the LIFTING AND HANDLING DEPARTMENT, CRANE MAINTENANCE DIVISION of PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD. Responsibilities You will install, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, calibrate, modify, and test complex electronic industrial control systems and related devices used to control industrial machinery, support equipment, environmental systems, and process operations. You will diagnose system failures involving interrelationships among electronic, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components and controls. You will update or annotate local maintenance records or work documentation as required by shop practice. You will perform operational, functional, and performance testing after installation, repair, calibration, or modification to verify proper operation of the control system and integration with connected equipment/processes.
